[ Cliquez ici pour la version française ] “Céramiques Mingedeloup” is the workshop and exhibition space /shop of Kees Overdevest and Elisabetta Overdevest-Mezzalira. It has been installed in 2002 in a small hamlet in the French countryside, in the province Corrèze.
Kees Overdevest, artist, makes autonomous objects in stoneware, fired in the wood kiln or electric kiln: rough shapes with various textures looking like geological reliefs, sometimes showing imprints of bark, of his hands or fingers.
Elisabetta Overdevest-Mezzalira, potter, makes tableware - small series of plates, bowls, dishes, vases in stoneware and porcelain. The stoneware is made on the wheel and the porcelain is slipcast. She applies matt and shiny enamels in various colors. She also works on commission. They both give workshops.
